Summary Judgment in Products Liability Case

This wrongful death, products liability case arose out of a mining accident that occurred in Dickenson County, Virginia, in 2003. The plaintiff alleged a product design defect in the mining equipment and sued for $5,000,000 in compensatory damages and $350,000 in punitive damages. The Judge granted a Summary Judgment and dismissed the plaintiff’s case. Willcox & Savage attorneys Patrick D. Blake and Brian W. Lown successfully represented the defendant, Matric Limited.
