NORFOLK Legal/Practice Support Specialist This position provides technical support and services to legal staff. Person will work directly with attorneys, paralegals, vendors and other legal staff in determining needs, recommending strategies and implementing technology solutions. The candidate must be able to manage multiple ongoing projects concurrently with ability to set and communicate priorities; demonstrate the ability to manage other staff members in a high pressure production environment; support attorneys and paralegals in the use of litigation software (or other support tools) in preparation of cases and trials; provide technical (support and) services (to legal staff) regarding strategies and resources for electronic discovery; document production and database design; maintenance and normalization; assist with trial preparation and court room technical support; set up and operation of technical tools in the court room will be necessary; manage large volume of imaged documents and electronic data utilizing appropriate software (and technological tools); utilize litigation support and court room presentation tools and technologies to include Concordance, Summation, iManage, Trial Director, Sanction II, iPro, iConectNxt, Doculex, LiveNote, CaseMap, PowerPoint, MS Access, Excel or equivalent software; coordinate project set-up, scanning and coding of documents with both internal staff and outside vendors; provide training to legal staff and IT department on software applications and use of current relevant technology; and provide periodic summaries and reports of each case or matter for legal staff.
